MODES
The screens in ProcessDB operate in two modes: query and insert. The primary way to distinguish between these two modes is to examine the screen and the status line. If the screen's status line has Enter Query on it, the screen is in query mode. Otherwise, if the center area of the status line is blank, the screen is in insert mode. The purpose of query mode is to retrieve existing records for inspection, modification or deletion. The purpose of insert mode is to enter new records into the database.
